This is part of the reason why I have absolutely no faith or trust in our police or justice system. It’s a farce, at best, and arresting and charging, yet again, a law-abiding citizen who is guilty of nothing more than protecting himself from a criminal is further proof of that.
If someone breaks into my home, I will do what I have to do to protect myself. This editorial writer is correct in stating that people aren’t going stop to go through a checklist to decide what actions they are allowed to take. The situation just doesn’t allow for it.
The Liberals’ soft-on-crime attitude is a big reason why these criminals aren’t in jail in the first place. Liberal-appointed judges are barely slapping them on the wrist before sending them back onto the streets.

I will protect myself, and if you don’t want to feel the wrath of this old lady, then don’t break into my home or commit a crime against me.

CHARGED FOR ASSAULTING A CREEP
Re: Doug Ford says ‘something is broken’ after Ontario man charged with assaulting armed home intruder, online, Aug. 20
So a known criminal breaks into a home, and the home owner assaults him to protect himself and his family, and he gets charged for assaulting this creep.
Only in Canada.
When this poor fella gets out of the hospital, maybe Justin Trudeau or one of the Liberals who decided violent criminals should be released on bail will take him into their home and care for him.
I am sure the rest of the world is laughing at us with our no-justice-for-victims Liberal program.

QUEBEC’S HATE ON
Re: Recent headlines about Quebec college facing $30M fine over English student enrolment
Canadians are always ready to call out hatred against groups and cultures. When are Canadians finally going to call out the Quebec government for its blatant hatred of the English?
Across this country, governments have bent over backwards and spent lots of taxpayer dollars to promote the French language, but Quebec brings in ever more draconian laws aimed at shutting down English in Quebec.
This has to stop.
