Today FM’s Louise Cantillon had the reaction of every single Irish person hearing about an absolute ‘trage-tea’!
The radio presenter, 31, looked utterly gobsmacked after American singer Alex Warren admitted in an interview that he had never had a cup of tea with milk.
The Limerick native quickly went into teaching mode as she educated Alex on the correct way to make a perfect cuppa.
Louise was chatting to the viral Carry You Home hitmaker before he admitted his lack of tea brewing knowledge and said he didn’t know how to make a cup of tea
Alex said: ‘I’ve never had a cup of tea with milk in it,’ with Louise immediately replying: ‘Do you know how much you’re missing out?’
He asked: ‘Is it that good?’ before Louise hilariously doubled down, saying: ‘I’m sorry. It’s exceptional.’
Alex then questioned if it was Earl Grey tea that we used to make a cuppa with Louise informing him: ‘You’re in Ireland, love!’
Louise taught him to use Barry’s Tea as well as the correct order of how to make a cuppa, saying: ‘Cup, teabag goes in, boiling water, drop of milk.’
She said: ‘Alex, your life is about to change,’ as he agreed, saying: ‘I haven’t lived yet.’
People agreed with Louise’s horrified reaction, with one saying: ‘Louise I love [your] reaction, and yes he’s definitely missing out… Barry’s tea all the way.’
Another said: ‘Everyone I meet is always appalled by me adding milk and sugar to tea. Like, I’m appalled you have no idea how or why I do it.’
Louise had the final say as she wrote in the comments: ‘I’m very bossy Alex Warren LOVE but you need to get it right!’ We couldn’t agree more!
