1 stabbed, 1 shot during altercation in Fort Lauderdale​on February 5, 2025 at 1:56 pm

Fort Lauderdale police are investigating a stabbing and shooting that occurred Tuesday night.

According to police, officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the 3600 block of West Broward Boulevard around 11:30 p.m.

Police said officers found multiple people who appeared to have been involved in an altercation that led to one man being stabbed and another being shot.

Police confirmed both men were transported to Broward Health Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said the investigation remains ongoing and it’s unclear whether anyone was acting in self-defense.

As of Wednesday morning, all parties had been identified by police and no arrests had been made.

Anyone with further information is asked to call the Fort Lauderdale Police Department or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
