2025 NCAA Tournament scores, schedule: March Madness bracket, game dates, locations, tip times, TV channels​on March 20, 2025 at 7:30 pm

The greatest tournament in American sports technically started Tuesday. (Congrats to all First Four winners!) But for anybody of a certain age, the first Thursday and Friday of any NCAA Tournament is where things really get going.

Now here we are.

Thursday’s first game originates from Rupp Arena, where Louisville will play Creighton just 70 minutes from the Cardinals’ campus. That 8-9 matchup in the South Region is scheduled to tip at 12:15 pm ET. Barring a surprise, the winner will advance to play Auburn, which is the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament.

It’s rare to get two Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame coaches matched-up in the first round of the NCAA Tournament — but that’s what we have Thursday in Providence. Bill Self’s Kansas Jayhawks, the No. 7 seed in the West Region, will play John Calipari’s Arkansas Razorbacks, the No. 10 seed in the West Region, in a game scheduled to tip at 7:10 pm ET on CBS. Combined, those men have won three national championships and made 10 Final  Fours. Barring a surprise, the winner of that game will advance to play St. John’s, which is also coached by a Naismith Memorial Hall of Famer (Rick Pitino).
