Toronto police say the collision occurred at Jane Street and Stong Court just before 6 p.m. Saturday.
Paramedics transported a total of three adults and two children to various hospitals.
Police said the female driver of one car suffered life-threatening injuries while the female passenger in the same car suffered non-life threatening injuries. Both women were in their 60s. The male driver of the second car and the two children suffered non-life threatening injuries.
