A GAA club in Portlaoise finds itself building for a brighter future after times of sorrow, setbacks and tragedy

The inseparability of a GAA club and its community was evident in Portlaoise yesterday, on a day of deep emotion and remembrance. Plans for a major development at the club’s grounds at Rathleague were formally unveiled, which will commemorate a former local hurler and his son, lost tragically in an accident in Turkey while on holiday in 2023.
