Jason Statham has brought a touch of Hollywood to Co Wicklow as he’s landed in the Emerald Isle to film his new blockbuster.
The 57-year-old, who is married to former Victoria’s Secret Angel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, was spotted in Enniskerry on the most Irish of weekends: St Patrick’s weekend.
On Tuesday, Enniskerry Hair and Nail Boutique shared an update, writing: ‘Preparations underway for filming tomorrow in Enniskerry! We’re so excited to hear that Jason will be in [the] village tomorrow.’

The business’ page later shared a photo from afar of Jason filming the upcoming movie, which is in collaboration with Black Bear productions, writing: ‘The best view in the village.’
The film is being directed by Ric Roman Waugh, whose credits include Shot Caller and Angel Has Fallen.

The film’s synopsis reads: ‘A recluse on a remote Scottish island rescues a girl from the sea, unleashing a perilous sequence of events that culminate in an attack on his home, compelling him to face his turbulent history.’
Jason appeared in great spirits as he posed for snaps with fans in Enniskerry.

Poppies Café, based in Enniskerry, also shared a snap of the Hollywood superstar. They wrote: ‘A big thanks to Jason Statham for choosing the magical village of Enniskerry for his latest blockbuster. It was an absolute pleasure.’
The Wicklow town seems to be a hotspot for A-listers as Patrick Dempsey and Amy Adams also spent time there filming Disney’s Disenchanted in 2021.
