There is only the never-changing Farkas they love to loathe, the Farkas who sat on city council, the Farkas who ran and lost the race for mayor to Jyoti Gondek in 2021.

Closer to the present, they say Farkas and his hike of the Pacific Crest Trail for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Calgary was the same hike as the one taken by the character played by Reese Witherspoon in the movie Wild.

They say Farkas was “channelling his inner Reese Witherspoon” as he was “retreading the physical and emotional footsteps of her character in the 2014 movie Wild.”
