There are still a host of people that haven’t yet had the privilege of watching Bad Sisters, and let us tell you: The hype is so real.

So all you need to do is kick back, relax, open Apple TV+ on your device of choice and type ‘Bad Sisters’ into the search bar. You won’t be disappointed!

Don’t just take our word for it: The black comedy is critically-acclaimed with season one receiving a whopping 12 nods at the 2023 IFTAs, of which it won four, won three awards at the 2023 BAFTAs and received four nods at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards. Not too shabby…

Based on the Belgian series Clan, season one of Bad Sisters follows the Garvey sisters- Eva (Sharon Horgan), Grace (Anne-Marie Duff), Ursula (Eva Birthistle), Bibi (Sarah Greene) and Becka (Eve Hewson).

After Grace’s abusive husband John Paul Williams, aka ‘The Prick’, dies unexpectedly, the sisters find themselves at the centre of a life insurance investigation.

The series flits back and forth between the past and present in which Grace’s sisters plot to murder their brother-in-law and a determined insurance agent tries to prove the sisters had something to do with John Paul’s murder so the company doesn’t have to pay out.

After the show saw gangbuster success, Sharon Horgan took it upon herself (thank God) to create a second storyline for the Garvey sisters in the wake of JP’s death.

The second season was filled with the drama and emotion we loved so much about season one, and suffice to say its finale is probably the most emotional episode to date.

All we’re saying is grab the tissues before you start binging Bad Sisters this weekend!
