It’s time to pull out those leather pants and jeweled tank tops for a good cause as Coyote Ugly prepares to celebrate its 25th anniversary.
Deadline has learned that the cast of the 2000 David McNally-helmed film is hosting a reunion screening and Q&A on Wednesday, Feb. 26 at the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica, benefitting Global Empowerment Mission’s California wildfire relief efforts.
Tickets and more details are available online for the 35mm screening, which is described as “a rare chance to relive the magic of Coyote Ugly on the big screen, hear untold stories from the cast and support a great cause.” The event will reunite producer Jerry Bruckheimer with cast members Piper Perabo, Tyra Banks, Maria Bello, Izabella Miko, Melanie Lynskey and LeAnn Rimes.
Lynskey, who played Jersey girl Gloria in the film, previously told me about the anniversary screening as she walked the red carpet at last week’s Season 3 premiere of her hit Showtime series Yellowjackets. “We’re all gonna get back on stage,” she said.

Diane Warren, who wrote four original songs for the film including ‘Can’t Fight the Moonlight’, will also be in attendance.

The event comes after Banks was one of many Angelenos to lose her home in the wildfires that caused at least 29 deaths and destroyed thousands of buildings in Los Angeles County.
Written by Gina Wendkos, Coyote Ugly stars Perabo as aspiring songwriter Violet Sanford, who moves from New Jersey to Manhattan to chase her dreams of music fame. But as she struggles to break out, she finds a job at the titular women-run NYC bar (which actually exists in the East Village), where she learns to come out of her shell while serving drinks and performing for patrons.
