Built in 2014 and situated on a 1-acre property with a swimming pool, the house, on Sunset Road, sold for almost twice its 2021 sales record of $2.5 million. According to the sale deed, the buyer is an opaque land trust whose beneficiary could not yet be determined.
The sellers, Jonathan and Teresa Reynolds, now have swapped one Geneva home for another. Records show that on Jan. 9, they paid $1.75 million for a five-bedroom, 9,666-square-foot vintage Mission Revival-style mansion in Geneva that was built for an early 20th century Geneva mayor. That house, on 1.6 acres close to downtown Geneva, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
About a block away, a five-bedroom, 13,000-square-foot mansion in Geneva sold in September for $2.8 million.
The Sunset Road property had a $56,527 property tax bill in the 2023 tax year.
