What was initially a break-and-enter investigation has turned into a probe over what Calgary police are calling an undetermined death.

The body of a man was found inside a home in the 200 block of Carrington Crescent N.W. after police responded to a possible intrusion at the residence around 6:30 p.m. Monday.

Homicide investigators have since be called out to the scene in the far northern Calgary community of Carrington, north of Stoney Trail and east of 14th Street N.W., to determine how the circumstances leading to the man’s death, according to the Calgary Police Service.

“An autopsy has been scheduled for Wednesday, April 9, 2025,” police said in a statement issued on Monday night. “No further information will be available about this incident until the manner of death can be determined during the autopsy.”
