The 55th GST Council meeting, held on December 21 in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, postponed the decision to reduce GST rates on insurance premiums. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman stated that the Group of Ministers (GoM) would reconsider the issue after obtaining feedback from the insurance regulator.
