IRVING, Texas — Three of the city of Irving’s eight city council seats were on the ballot this May election.
One at-large seat, as well as District 1 and District 7 are all on the ballot. Two of those seats guaranteed to have new officials in them.
District 2 Council Member Brad LaMorgese did not run to retain his at-large seat. There are four candidates who looked to replace him: Vicky Akinyi Oduk, David Plaff, Mark Zeske and Sergio Porres.
Incumbent John Bloch looked to hold onto his District 1 seat. He was challenged by candidate Tony Grimes.
District 7 Council Member didn’t run for another term either. In his stead, candidates Adam Muller and Priscilla Vigliante ran to take the seat.
