Western Bulldogs dasher Jason Johannisen limped off the training track with what appeared to be a hamstring complaint at training on Wednesday where teammate Jamarra Ugle-Hagan was again unsighted, while at Collingwood Jordan De Goey had an injury scare.
Johannisen, the 2016 Norm Smith medallist, will be sent for scans on Wednesday afternoon to assess the damage.
The injury means Johannisen will almost certainly miss the club’s training camp in Noosa which starts on Friday. It also puts him in doubt for the Bulldogs’ first hit-out against opposition – a contest with Essendon on February 15.
Gun midfielder Adam Treloar managed to only walk laps on Wednesday as he continues to recover from a calf injury, while troubled star forward Jamarra Ugle-Hagan was once again a no-show.

At Collingwood training on Wednesday, De Goey suffered a knock to his calf that forced him from the training track. But fears for the powerful midfield star were quickly allayed by scans taken immediately afterwards that cleared him of any tear or injury.
De Goey is still retuning to full fitness after badly tearing his hamstring at the end of last season. He went to Doha for specialist treatment on groin and abdominal issues in the off season to address ongoing soft tissue issues.
More to come.
