Being over 55, I disagree with the premise that those 55 and over support Carney. This isn’t the case with the majority of those over 55, including retirees. Many of us are in industries as tradespeople and professionals (Engineers etc.), and we have experienced directly the impacts of Trudeau and his do-nothing ministers. We are now a poor country because of our out-of-control debt. The Liberals have done everything to stymie business and industry growth that could employ thousands of people with good wages. Until Carney rids the party of ministers who held power under Trudeau, nothing will change. Carney would also likely ask for support from the NDP should the Liberals win a minority government, which would continue the disaster.

Nonsense

In a stunning display of ignorance, a recent Ipsos/Global News poll shows that most Canadians believe that the Liberals would be the party that best manages energy and natural resources. So, where have these people been in the last ten years — out of the country or in a coma?

LRT noise

I saw a news article on TV this week that the City of Edmonton has installed a series of speakers at the Millwoods LRT station. Seriously? A total waste of tax dollars. Maybe try spending the dollars on security so people aren’t afraid to ride the trains instead of giving them soothing music while they’re being mugged.

Stop the insanity

I voted for the Liberals during the Jean Chrétien and Paul Martin years and switched to the Conservatives with Stephen Harper. The Liberal government did not do any favours for Canada under the Justin Trudeau administration, and putting a new face at the head of virtually the same cabinet table will not change the philosophy of the party. The country needs a change of leadership and thinking. It has been said that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. My opinion is that voting for the Liberal government would prove that definition.
