Renton Police say the man approached the suspect around 3:25 a.m. as the person prowled his 2019 Kia Sorento in the 1100 block of South 27th Place.
The car owner grabbed onto the driver’s side window and was dragged before the suspect shot him. The suspect fled in the car.
Investigators believe at least five cars were prowled earlier in the night, and there are at least two suspects who are considered armed.
