Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday extended his New Year wishes to the nation, sharing a message of hope and positivity. He expressed his hopes for new opportunities, success, and joy for everyone as the country marked the arrival of the new year with celebrations and prayers.
“Happy 2025! May this year bring everyone new opportunities, success and endless joy. May everybody be blessed with wonderful health and prosperity,” PM Modi tweeted.

The country welcomed the New Year with vibrant celebrations and prayers across the country, marked by fireworks, music, and joyous gatherings. From the streets of metro cities to the remote corners, people came together to bid farewell to the past year and welcome the new one with hope and excitement.
President Droupadi Murmu wished harmony and prosperity to all and urged collective efforts for a brighter future for the country.
“Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year! May the year 2025 bring joy, harmony and prosperity to all! On this occasion, let us renew our commitment to work together for creating a brighter, more inclusive and sustainable future for India and the world,” she wrote.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, in his New Year message, expressed hope for renewed enthusiasm and happiness in the days ahead.
“Happy New Year to all of you. I hope this year brings new enthusiasm, new joy and happiness in your life. Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year,” he said.
