Meghan Markle’s latest showbiz offering With Love, Meghan was always going to set tongues wagging and that’s exactly what’s happened since the show dropped on Netflix on Tuesday.
What was purported to be a home help show centered on adding elegant flourishes to our everyday lives has become a vehicle for ferreting out family details for royal watchers.
Whether or not Meghan intentionally planted these Easter eggs alongside her honey and bath salts remains to be seen. That so, here are the biggest takeaways from With Love, Meghan that actually have very little to do with cooking or interiors.
1) Markle no more

Did we know this? The world watched as Meghan assumed the Duchess of Sussex title when she married Harry but she seemingly no longer uses her maiden name at all.
If that’s news to us, it’s also news to her close pals. During a kitchen session with Mindy Kaling, the actress remarked: ‘I don’t think anyone in the world knows that Meghan Markle has eaten Jack in the Box and loves it.’
She is immediately corrected by Meghan, who tells her: ‘It’s so funny you keep saying, Meghan Markle. You know I’m Sussex now?’ Awkward!
She did go on to explain her decision to change her name was largely to do with sharing her name with her children, saying: ‘I didn’t know how meaningful it would be to me but it just means so much to go “This is our family name, our little family name.’
Hmmm, a little family name attached to one of the biggest empires the world has ever seen, wonder what the royal family made of that nugget?
2) Meghan, the morality police

Meghan’s former Suits colleagues have been vocal in supporting her in the media, so one would assume that calling her out as the moral compass on the show is a term of affection, even if it hints at her being a shade dull.
While mulling over their days on set, Abigail Spencer tells her: ‘I feel like you were head of morale on the show.’
Meghan gives off serious Monica Gellar vibes as she replies to her friend saying: ‘I liked to plan fun for everyone… or to have people at the house!’
3) No place like home

Fans will quickly be aware that the majority of With Love, Meghan isn’t actually filmed at her home but there are some scenes where we get a glimpse of her glitzy pad.
Largely, these are outdoors where she is seen picking blackberries and collecting eggs from her chickens at the sweetly dubbed Archie’s Chick Inn.
4) The low down on her high style

Amid the absolute notiony behaviour of creating bath salts from scratch are genuine moments of relatability and especially when it comes to her style.
Fans lost their minds when it emerged that she was wearing a Zara dress in one episode. Chatting to Mindy, she describes her style as a mix of high-end and high street.
‘Your fashion is one of my favourite things. Sometimes I will look like where’s that coat from, go to Max Mara dot com, and it’s already sold out. Can you tell me about your clothes?
‘I like high-low,’ she replies while walking Mindy through her Zara trousers, Loro Piana shirt, and Jenni Kaye sweater.’
5) You’re kidding

While Meghan and Harry have understandably been at pains to keep their children away from the glare of the media, she isn’t above peppering details about their lives into conversation to promote her show.
In With Love, Meghan we learn that Archie and Lilli eat Crudité platters every single day and according to Meghan, arranging vegetables in an artful way is the trick to getting your children to love them. Who knew?
Archie carries on her sweet childhood tradition of making sun tea (pretend tea) and is also a budding and somewhat talented fisherman.
Meghan also wants us to believe that Lili enjoys watching her mum clean and has even made a song out of it, as well as loving to help her mum make preserves, which apparently gives the three-year-old a sense of achievement.’
6) Meghan, the career enthusiast

Another instalment of With Love, Meghan sees her delve into her first jobs, which were largely working in food outlets.
One standout job on her CV was interning at the Argentinian embassy, which she describes as being very similar to California ‘in a lot of ways.’
‘You have the mountains and you have just this joy of life – and joy of being outside.’
7) Playing games

As it turns out, Meghan likes to spend her downtime tending her garden and playing board games.
She and designer Tracy Robbins, agent Jennifer Rudolph Walsh and comedian Victoria Jackson get together for mahjong game nights.
8) A royal no-show

Meghan perhaps wisely makes no mention of her royal life before moving home to the US but viewers were somewhat surprised not to see Harry feature much in the series.
In fact, he only briefly appears during one quick shot in the final episode but apparently ‘his presence was felt behind the scenes.’
9) In a jam

A waitlist for a Birkin is somewhat understandable but for a jam? When Meghan launched her American Riviera Orchard Strawberry Jam in 2024, it was revealed that only 50 jars were made and sent naturally enough to celebs, including Mindy.
When she asked who got the remaining jars, Meghan insisted that she hadn’t meant the limited gifting as a publicity stunt but that some people were put out.
After rebranding her business, which she has also partnered with Netflix on, fans can now join a waitlist to buy her As Ever products.
