GARLAND, Texas — Garland police removed their heavy presence in the area of Valley Park Drive after they found nobody inside the home they had surrounded.
A spokesperson with the Garland PD told WFAA they were dealing with a potentially armed person inside a residence on the street and were trying to get them out. The department posted on social media, saying the situation was isolated and did not pose a threat to the public.
In an update, GPD announced they had cleared the scene after the “individual was not located at the residence.”
The department said they are still investigating the incident.
