‘The White Lotus’ & ‘The Righteous Gemstones’ Hit Viewership Milestones​on March 10, 2025 at 10:40 pm

The Sunday installments of The White Lotus and The Righteous Gemstones earned HBO some bragging rights, with both comedies hitting milestones with viewers.

The fourth episode of the Mike White comedy hit a season high 3.4 million cross-platform U.S. viewers on Sunday, according to HBO. So far, the third season is averaging 12.2 million viewers per episode (including delayed viewing), which is 78% higher than last season during the same amount of time. 

The second season of The White Lotus went on to average 15.5 million viewers. Last week, the comedy was the No. 1 show on Max, both globally and in the U.S.  

As for The Righteous Gemstones, the Danny McBride laugher enjoyed its strongest season premiere ever by luring 919,000 cross-platform viewers in the U.S. The Season 4 premiere outperformed Season 3 premiere by nearly 30%; season 3 wen ton to average 5.5 million U.S. cross-platform viewers.

Gemstones kicked off Season 4 by traveling back to 1862. Titled Prelude, the 43-minute premiere like a Civil War movie — graphic violence included — with Bradley Cooper playing a Gemstone ancestor. He carries the entire episode, which chronicles his character’s journey from a scheming, unscrupulous crook who would do anything for money — including kill people and pretend to be a pastor and join a Confederate unit as a Chaplain — to redemption.

This is the fourth and final season of The Righteous Gemstones, which airs Sundays at 10 PM on HBO and Max.
