A school in northeast Calgary was put into lockdown after police were investigating reports of a hit-and-run case in Forest Lawn on Monday morning.

The incident occurred at 8:10 a.m. The vehicle was observed driving dangerously around southeast Calgary, including through school zones and in residential areas, over the next several hours.

Officers were able to contain the vehicle at 12 p.m. in the area of the 300 block of 36th Street N.E.

No injuries were reported and three occupants from the vehicle were taken into custody from the scene. As a result, a nearby school was under lockdown.

Police say charges are pending and the investigation is ongoing.
