Undisputed Champion Gabriela Fundora Scores TKO Win Over Marilyn Badillo
On Saturday night at the Frontwave Arena in Oceanside, California, Gabriela Fundora defeated Marilyn Badillo via TKO in the seventh round to maintain her women’s undisputed flyweight title. At the time of the stoppage, Fundora (16-0, 8 KOs), the youngest undisputed champion in boxing’s history and Uncrowned’s No. 5 female pound-for-pound fighter, was in control of the fight. In the early rounds, Fundora was able to cause some trouble for Badillo (19-1-1, 3 KOs) with her head movement, but when Badillo’s mobility slowed, Fundora began to connect her power blows more frequently.

The undisputed champion was instructed to go for the finish in the seventh round by her father and trainer, Freddy Fundora, after Fundora severely injured Badillo with multiple strong left punches in the sixth round.
