Fresh off the first viral video of Prime Minister Mark Carney and comedy legend Mike Myers talking about passing the true Canadian test — which garnered more than 10 million views — comes a second instalment that offers some information and takes some not-so-veiled shots at both Conservative rival for PM Pierre Poilievre and American President Donald Trump.

In the video, Myers, the star of the box office gold Wayne’s World and Austin Power franchises, focuses on how he “can’t stand” the “bullies in the world” and says of Canada that “we are a country that stands up to bullies.”

While he doesn’t mention Trump by name, the Scarborough icon does say it is important to him that Canada always remains “the good guys.”

And while not mentioning that he is also an American citizen who boasted about that on Kelly Ripa’s TV show, Myers tells Carney that “Canada means everything to him” and notes that “without Canada,” he wouldn’t be anything.

At that point, Myers recalls that after being exposed to a television study in his “fantastic high school,” he ended up working at the CBC.

“I didn’t know that,” replies Carney, who takes the opportunity to ask, “Do you think we should get rid of the CBC” because “there is a guy who said he would get rid of the CBC.”

Myers makes it clear he is against that.

He also says that the reason he decided to “endorse” Carney in this federal election is due to him being a “grown up” and among the “adults” in the room.

But what Myers didn’t say is if he is able to vote in this election, where he would do so, or if he has a residence here or has paid any taxes.

The latest information on Myers’ place of residence is New York, where late last year it was reported that he sold a condominium he owned in Manhattan for US$17 million.

He has been photographed at the New York consul general’s residence with former prime minister Justin Trudeau and at a New York Knicks game with current representative there Tom Clark.

While this new video offers some more insight into the location used for this filming, it’s still unclear where it was shot and when and if Myers was paid a fee or if it was volunteer.

One thing becoming more clear is it does not look like these spots were shot inside a hockey arena but perhaps a soundstage with artificial prop boards. Unlike the first video that features the two Canadians — who hold three passports each — there were no skaters flying by.

But they both did talk about Canada always being Canada — despite the fact that Myers made his fame and fortune in the U.S. and Carney moved to England at one point in his career and was the chair of Brookfield when it moved its headquarters to New York.

The Liberal Party has so far not responded to questions on whether these videos were filmed in Canada and at what facility.

It will be interesting to see if there is a hat trick instalment.
