After pretending to be the elbows-up tough guy to dupe voters during a crucial election, our elitist banker has been anything but the caped crusader when faced with Donald Trump’s tariffs.
Sadly, the herds of sheep who followed him to the polls will have contributed to the demise of our once-great Canada when common sense was also on the ballot.

PATHETICALLY WEAK LEADERSHIP
Gone is elbows-up Mark Carney’s election promise to be the best person to get a trade deal with U.S. President Donald Trump.
Carney has failed to even close the Canadian border to fentanyl and other drugs flowing into the U.S. or stopped illegals from the U.S. flowing into Canada. Carney’s wrong-minded support of Palestine statehood is another huge irritant to Trump.

EV’S NOT ALL THAT
Re: EV ads run short on facts, letter to the editor, July 26
Further to the letter regarding EV facts, here are some more EV facts. Much of the electricity to charge them comes from fossil fuels. The resale values are low. Many people just don’t want them.
If they catch fire, the fire is extremely difficult to extinguish and produces extremely toxic smoke. I would not feel safe with an EV in my garage or near my house.
Gasoline-powered vehicles run very clean these days, producing minimal emissions, not like the days before emission controls and unleaded gas, which I remember.
Consumers should be able to choose what they drive, not have the government take away choice.
