NEED COPS WITH RADAR GUNS
One of the increasingly rare points on which I agree with Doug Ford is his claim that photo radar is a cash grab.

It ends there, however. If he thinks speed bumps, signage, flashing lights or any other gimmick will effectively eliminate or even generate a long-term reduction in speeding, he’s living in La La Land.
As with photo radar, these features will perhaps slow drivers for a brief time in their immediate vicinity. Once over the speed bump, past the flashing sign, etc., many drivers will resume their previous speed. Like radar, bad drivers will become aware of the location of these alternatives, slow accordingly or simply find a different route to avoid them.
The true speed reduction tool is a cop with a radar gun. Not only can they move about, such that you could happen upon one anywhere at any time, I can’t imagine a driver who has been pulled over and ticketed, peeling away from the stop like the proverbial bat out of hell; not to mention the penalty is real time and has an immediate effect of eliminating six or seven more weeks of dangerous speeding until the ticket arrives in the mail.

CARNEY, TRUMP WORLDS APART
Once again, with PM Mark Carney unable to consummate a trade/tariff deal with the Trump administration, he jetted off to meet up with fellow globalists U.K. PM Starmer and French President Macron. Carney, who spent many years in Europe, is obviously more comfortable with these leaders, both of who are in serious political difficulty, than dealing President Trump. This even though during the election campaign Carney promised voters he was the only person to do that, being a seasoned negotiator.
Their addresses to the recent UN General Assembly spoke volumes. Carney talked about the need to fight climate change, digitalization and how he had recognized the Palestinian state. Contrast that to Trump, who declared mass migration and said what he termed “the climate change scam” was destroying countries’ economies. Trump advocated oil and natural resources development to strengthen economies.
Carney has zero chance of ever working with Trump as they are worlds apart on key policies.
